You descend Pratumnak Hill past gated condominiums and family-run restaurants, the roar of Beach Road fading with each switchback. At the bottom, a compact stretch of sand curves between rocky outcrops, maybe two hundred meters end to end. The water here runs clearer than Pattaya proper—you can count your toes in thigh-deep surf, watch needlefish dart through the shallows.

Snorkel rental shops operate from permanent structures at mid-beach, their owners promising reef fish around the southern rocks. You'll fin out past the buoy line where the sand drops away to reveal brain coral and parrotfish nosing through the growth. Looking back toward shore, Pattaya's skyline stacks up to your left—glass towers catching afternoon light while longtail boats motor past, trailing diesel and salt spray.
The beach fills with a different crowd than Pattaya's main drag. Russian families spread elaborate picnics. Thai couples occupy shaded benches beneath the trees that separate sand from the small coast road. By late afternoon, the hill's shadow creeps across the water, and the outdoor restaurants begin setting tables. Grilled seafood, yes, but also wine lists and tablecloths—the hill's residential character bleeding down to the waterfront.
