It's also safe for swimming, with lifeguard services typically operating during peak season. Always swim between the red and yellow flags and surf between the black and white flags. Be mindful of strong currents that can occur, especially near the river mouth.

For the best weather, the summer months (June to August) are ideal, offering warm temperatures and plenty of sunshine. However, these are also the busiest times. To enjoy pleasant weather with fewer crowds, consider visiting during the shoulder seasons of late spring (May) or early autumn (September). Weekdays outside of school holidays will generally be more peaceful.
