From Tokyo, take the JR Joban Line to Mito Station (about 70-90 minutes), then transfer to the Oarai Kashima Line to Oarai Station (approximately 15 minutes). From Oarai Station, the beach is about a 15-minute walk or a short taxi ride. Alternatively, express highway buses run from Tokyo Station to Oarai, taking around 2 hours. If driving, take the Joban Expressway to Mito-Oarai IC, then it's about 10 minutes to the beach. Parking is available but fills quickly on summer weekends.
